What are SMS coveralls?
SMS means spunbond–meltblown–spunbond, a layered nonwoven fabric construction. Poltex lists SMS coveralls with a hood and boot covers in XL, 2XL and 3XL. Most listed SMS models specify 60 GSM; model PL-CA-114 specifies 65 GSM. Check the specification for your selected SKU.

What is the difference between SMS and Tyvek coveralls?
SMS describes spunbond–meltblown–spunbond nonwoven fabric. Tyvek is DuPont’s trademark for its flashspun polyethylene material. They are different materials; compare the exact garment model, seams and test documentation rather than treating the names as interchangeable.

Are these coveralls suitable for asbestos work?
A category listing or SMS fabric label alone does not establish suitability for asbestos work. Ask for the supplied model’s current datasheet and applicable test documentation. The employer or competent person must select the garment and the complete PPE program for the assessed exposure.
